Hygrophila Corymbosa Thailand (Hygrophila Corymbosa Thailand)

This species comes from Thailand. Its natural habitats are wetlands and floodplains.

The plant has strong, ligneous stem with dense, opposite, lanceolate, green leaves. Its leaves are more slender than leaves of Hygrophila corymbosa.

This is relatively easy to grow plant. It grows quickly in optimal conditions - intense lighting minimum 12 hours per day.

It should be planted in the middle of the aquarium in small groups at distance of minimum 20 centimeters between seedlings. This species can grow above the water surface. Then bottom leaves often fall because they don't have enough light. So we should systematic cut the tops of the plant. Then it grows also horizontally.

This is spermatophyte species but it blooms only above the water surface (the plant develops delicate, violet and intense smelling flowers). In aquarium we reproduce it vegetatively - by seedlings from cut stems.
