This is shoal, friendly, peaceful, and active fish.
This species likes tank with dimmed light, floating plants and loads of space to swim. A dark substrate and decorative elements will expose brighter colours of the fish.
This is oviparous species. You may breed these fish in the general tank or a separate aquarium. You should have more males than females. Female spreads the eggs among plants and water (up to hundreds eggs). The eggs hatch after 1 day. The fry start to swim and take food 3 days later. Tetras don’t take care of offspring. They will also eat the eggs.
