Breeding this species is not easy. A matched pair of fish should be put in the separate spawning tank with very soft and slightly acidic water with temperature of 22°C . Fish prefer dimmed light but after spawning light may be turned off completely. You should remove parents after eggs are laid. The fry starts to swim 6 days later.
